As the growing season for the 2018 Vintage is ramping up, we traveled to the High Plains AVA with Doug Reed of Hawk’s Shadow Winery, and visited with our vineyard partners. So happy this guy walked into Siboney Cellars. I met dear friend Pete Valenzuela in 1982/83 at the Interurban Restaurant in College Station. He was a bartender and I was waiting tables during college having just transferred to Texas A&M as a junior. We had several excellent bartenders (hello John Marinos!), managers and wait staff led by Paul Klement (husband of Margaret Brooks Klement) Lisa Klement Frizzell I can hear you crying right now shouting his name! He’s a CPA now and married to Marina but to me he will always be a glass-tossing bottle-twirling Herradura margarita boss.

Time for a reunion?
