Siboney Cellars takes its name from a personal metaphor that speaks to the journey of the owners, and is embodied in several meanings of the word, Siboney (See-Bo-NAY) Siboney is a beautiful old Cuban song written in 1929 by Ernesto Lecuona. So happy this guy walked into Siboney Cellars. I met dear friend Pete Valenzuela in 1982/83 at the Interurban Restaurant in College Station. He was a bartender and I was waiting tables during college having just transferred to Texas A&M as a junior. We had several excellent bartenders (hello John Marinos!), managers and wait staff led by Paul Klement (husband of Margaret Brooks Klement) Lisa Klement Frizzell I can hear you crying right now shouting his name! He’s a CPA now and married to Marina but to me he will always be a glass-tossing bottle-twirling Herradura margarita boss.

Time for a reunion?
